How to check full fibre at your address

Which Altnet shows which altnets list your town. Street-level availability still needs each provider’s own checker — and Ofcom’s free tool for technology labels.

1. Find which altnets list your town

Use the town finder or towns A–Z. A listing means the provider named the town on a page we checked — not that your flat or house can order today.

2. Check each provider’s address tool

Open the provider guide, then use that provider’s coverage checker with your full address or postcode. Provider guides:

3. Use Ofcom’s free checker

Ofcom’s checker reports technology and predicted speeds for your location. It does not pick a retail brand for you. Start at checker.ofcom.org.uk (opens in a new tab).

4. Read the labels

“Gigabit-capable” is not the same as “full fibre”. Neighbours can see different results when a network stops at a cabinet, a block, or a plot. If a provider lists your town but declines your address, trust the address check.

More context: full fibre vs gigabit-capable.
